The doctoral degree is an educational and scientific degree that build on the educational and qualification degree “Master”. IIPTT educates doctoral students in full time and individual form of education.

Organization of the curriculum in full time and individual form of education

 

Individual education plan

The individual education plan is prepared in cooperation between the doctoral student and his supervisor and is submitted for discussion and approval by the Science and education council no later than 3 months from the enrolment of the doctoral student. The individual education plan is detailed by years for the entire period of education and it includes all the activities regarding the preparation of the doctoral student, including the defence of the dissertation.

After its approval by the Science and education council, the individual education plan is affirmed by the vice-rector for Research of UNWE.

Reports

All doctoral students of IIPTT are attested yearly. They present to the Science and education council the activities they have completed through the year of attestation. The report is prepared according to a standard model of the UNWE. The supervisor gives a written opinion of the work of the student for the period. If needed the supervisor presents an agreed with the student actualization of his individual education plan for the next academic year. The Science and education council adopts: 

  • An opinion for the execution of the individual education plan of the doctoral student and a grade for his work;
  • A proposal for a positive or negative attestation of the student;
  • A proposal for actualization of the individual education plan of the student for the next academic year;
  • Recommendations for the fallowing work of the student in the doctoral program, and if necessary recommends further specification of the subject of the dissertation and/or a change of the supervisor.
 

In addition to the yearly reports, the doctoral students in a full time form of education report on their work by the end of every trimester by presenting a report to the director of IIPTT on the execution of the individual education plan. The director of IIPTT presents a report to the rector of UNWE concerning the fulfilment of the commitments of the doctoral students in a full time form of education according to their individual education plan. In the report there are also the doctoral students that have not presented a report for the trimester.

Schedule of the courses by disciplines from block A

UNWE organizes by disciplines from block A, included in the individual education plans of the doctoral students. Participants in the courses can be doctoral students from both full time and individual form of education. If you want to participate in the courses you have to fill in a request form and present it to the administrative secretary of IIPTT.

  • Courses from block A

To be admitted to an exam on any of the disciplines it is necessary to file a request at the latest of a week before the date of the exam. The request is presented to the administrative secretary of IIPTT.

  • Courses from block B

The taking of exams of disciplines from block B in the individual education plan of doctoral students takes place after the student has passed successfully all exams from block A. You can receive the curriculum for the disciplines from your supervisor or from the administrative secretary of IIPTT.

The curriculum of some of the disciplines requires the completion of an individual assignment. You can familiarize yourselves with the main points and requirements of the individual assignments in the attachments below.

 

The date for an exam can be set up after you fill in a standardized request form and present it to the administrative secretary of IIPTT.
